Rachael Skeldon Celebrates 20 years with Motus!
This month, we’re celebrating a fantastic milestone as Rachael Skeldon marks 20 years with Motus.
Over the past two decades, Rachael has built an impressive career across a variety of roles, gaining valuable experience, supporting different parts of the business and becoming a familiar face to colleagues across the group. Her willingness to embrace new opportunities and continuously learn has made her an invaluable member of the team.
A career built on variety
Rachael joined the business in 2006 as a Sales Administrator for Truck Sales in Stoke. As the business evolved and the Volkswagen dealership was introduced, she moved into Volkswagen Sales Administration before spending more than ten years supporting both the Volkswagen Sales and Service teams.
Looking for a new challenge, Rachael then joined Motus Select, working across the Stoke, Hull and Derby sites, before returning to DAF Trucks Stoke in an Accounts Administration role.
Today, Rachael is our Central Services Administrator, working alongside Joanne and Grant within the HR and Health & Safety teams. The role takes her across many of our businesses, supporting colleagues, helping to coordinate central services and ensuring everything runs as smoothly as possible.
Learning, growing and embracing every opportunity
Throughout her career, Rachael has never been afraid to step into a new role or learn something different. That willingness to adapt has allowed her to develop a broad understanding of the business while building strong relationships with colleagues across multiple locations.
Reflecting on her 20 years with Motus, Rachael said:
“What has kept me here for 20 years is definitely the people. I’ve worked with so many brilliant colleagues over the years and built some great friendships along the way. Every role I’ve had has given me the chance to learn something new, whether that’s working with different teams, supporting different parts of the business or taking on new challenges. No two days are ever quite the same, and I enjoy getting stuck in, keeping on my toes and continuing to learn. That’s what has made the journey so rewarding.”
